Windsurfing/ Kitesurfing?

Hi

I am currently doing some reserach for my dissertation - motives of windsurfers and there different experiences with reference to male & females.

I found some statistics form the RYA stating that windurfing had declined in participation and kitesurfing was on the rise.

Can I ask you guys if you used to windsurf? When did you change & Why? Do you do both now?

hey i gave windsurfing a quick go but never really got hooked. had one go at kiting and was addicted straight away. i used to sail as well but don't anymore cause i'd rather be kiting

Thanks, yeah I'm actually into windsurfing & sailing have never tried kiteing, I'm sure you have to master a kite on land before taking it to the water, had a go at that and I can't say its my forte! ..... thanks for your help. Emma x

Hello Emma,

I actually never tried windsurfing, it was always to much stuff to carry around so I went straight away to kitesurfing and now that is all what I'm doing...

Fair enough, yeah I know what you mean especially when your learning there is lots to carry around with you! am working on a questionnaire at the moment then will be posting one online would be very greatful if you would fill it in for me, manythanks em xxxx
